Threads officially moves to Threads.com and updates its web app

Meta’s social platform Threads has completed its transition to a new home at Threads.com, marking a significant step in its evolution as a competitor to X. The move from Threads.net to the more memorable domain name aligns with a series of enhancements to the web app, designed to improve user experience and accessibility.

Threads Web Interface

The updated web app now offers streamlined access to personalized features, including custom feeds, saved posts, and liked content directly from the main menu. Users no longer need to manually pin columns to view these sections, simplifying navigation. Additionally, a new column icon on the right side of the screen allows for quick customization of the layout, while a “+” button in the bottom corner enables effortless post creation in a pop-up window.

Threads Column Customization

One notable addition is the ability to copy posts as images instead of taking screenshots, making it easier to share content across platforms like Instagram. Meta has also introduced a tool to help users migrate their favorite creators from X to Threads. By uploading an archive of X data, users can automatically discover and follow the same accounts on Threads, though this feature remains in testing.

Threads Post Creation

With over 320 million monthly active users, Threads continues to refine its web experience to rival established platforms. The shift to Threads.com not only strengthens brand recognition but also underscores Meta’s commitment to creating a seamless, user-friendly social network.
